Our Kids Need TRE!

Stress and, unfortunately, trauma are part of the human condition, but so is resilience and post-traumatic growth! Let’s educate our youth and help them develop resilience and lifelong wellness habits so they can thrive and not just survive.

Drawing from her decades of child development, counseling, teaching yoga to children, and TRE experience, Lynea Gillen will share her discoveries of how to safely introduce TRE to infants, children, and teens.

Relate, Educate, Regulate

In this workshop Lynea will show how to translate polyvagal and attachment theory into practice with the use of effective listening and communication skills that develop trust and rapport, and simple grounding practices for ourselves and our clients.

Then, you will also learn how to educate a range of ages and cognitive abilities about how our nervous system works, that fight, flight and freeze responses are healthy survival mechanisms, and how to destigmatize shaking.

Lynea will also share her experience in how developmental trauma presents at home and in school, the difference between triggers and tantrums, and how to set compassionate boundaries with trauma survivors.

With this foundation, you will learn how to safely introduce the tremor response, considering the unique needs, language and adaptions for family/infants, children, and teens.

Lynea loves to collaborate and draw out the collective intelligence of workshop participants, therefore there will be lots of opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and relate experiences in how our TRE community can create best practices for introducing TRE to our youth.

What Else You Will Learn
